Anyone visiting this site is bound to question the name of this safelist. Some may deem the name reeks negativity, however the use of the word here rings totally positive for the consumer. In today's society names/words for whatever reason has multiple meanings. The use of the word "deadbeat" here is deemed derogatory by banks and other lending institutions, however for the consumer the word enables the consumer to be proud of the fact that they control their finances and are wisely managing their money.
A credit card deadbeat is the credit card industry's worst nightmare. Yes, nightmare because deadbeats payoff their credit card balances in full monthly. By doing this they avoid paying interest and therefore the creditor is prevented from making any profit on the money lent. On one hand credit card companies gives the consumer the impression that they are your friend. Hello -- the relationship between the credit card industry and consumer is not altruistic! They are not your friend. Their only interest (no pun intended) in you is to make money!
The goal of Deadbeats Are Us is to provide viable and resourceful information to the consumer who is having financial difficulty. Some people find it difficult or embarrassing to seek help when faced with financial problems. I hope the members of this list will share their experiences and hopefully many will benefit from this information exchange. If the information flowing through this list does nothing else it will help members realize there is hope and yes help to get their finances under control.
